Permaculture Earthmovers are experienced in Permaculture earthmoving. For example you may have the knowledge and know how to install a level sill spill way without needing instruction. Otherwise Permaculture earthmovers may work under the direction of a Permaculture consultant or clients.
As an earth mover you may be expected to complete earthmoving tasks such as:
- Dams
- Swales
- Gabions
- Terraces
- Leaky weirs
- Install pipe crossings
- Create effective road construction with minimal erosion
- Install dam pipes in walls with baffles
- Chinampas
Post-earth moving you will be required to write a brief one page report on your job for documentation for permacultureconsultancy.com, this will later be invaluable for your career portfolio/CV and or Permaculture diploma.
Earthmoving process-
Off site brief
Once you have received and accepted a job offer, you will be given the job specifications, the clients brief and any other documentation (contour and surveying maps, machine dry hire) relevant to the job. It will be your responsibility to familiarise yourself with the information.
On site earthmoving
You will liaise with clients and assess the site for viability in order to achieve the clients objectives, and create a plan of action to accomplish those objectives.
